The AMVETS Higgins Lake Lodge and Cabins is Located on Higgins Lake. One of the most popular all-sports lakes in the state of Michigan, Higgins Lake is clean, beautiful and the ideal place to enjoy any season.
From spring until fall you will find that we are conveniently located near the largest number of ATV and ORV trails in the state. In the summer we have a wonderful beach and swimming area. In the winter there is plenty of ice fishing and snowmobiling opportunities. The AMVETS Higgins Lake Lodge and Cabins is owned by the AMVETS Department of Michigan and as such is a VETERANS FIRST facility. It is non-profit and open to the public when space is available. We are open year around to make it easy to relax and enjoy all four seasons.

During the summer boating, fishing and swimming are very popular at our lodge. Our swimming area extends 500 feet out into Higgins Lake and the shallow water and sandy bottom make a wonderful play area for children and adults. Also popular in the warmer seasons there are many world class golf courses in the area.
We are within miles of state land for deer season along with any other hunting you may prefer. Many trails for hiking or bicycling are within walking distance. Hundreds of miles of DNR snowmobile trails are also within a few miles. In all, the AMVETS Higgins Lake Lodge and Cabins will provide the comfortable and peaceful vacation you are looking for at a reasonable rate.
