Department Chaplain Eric Schuman, and standing in for Department Commander Chuck Petch, attended the funeral of District II Commander Roger Maynard in Kingston on February 21.

There were quite a few people in attendance along with several honor guard from the American Legion and several members of his own Amvets post.

After the memorial service, Department Chaplain Schuman performed the Amvets funeral ceremony while the other members stood at attention. After there was a 21 gun salute and taps was played.

He will be interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly on Monday.
